Great thread , I had seen most of these but whoever mentioned Unman Wittering and Zigo , thanks, I had never heard of it and its brilliant. David hemmings at his best , would recommend Long Days Dying also and Im sure i must be wrong but I cant remember seeing Withnail and I on the thread and its well worth a watch.

Re: Vintage Film Suggestion Thread
In the book George Peppard is a POOF and Audrey Hepburn a WHORE so Breakfast at Tiffany’s not quite as dark as it could have been.
Great movie but

If you overlook the Mickey Rooney character!

Re: Vintage Film Suggestion Thread
The Battle of Algiers - excellent resistance film
Breakfast at Tiffanys - darker than I thought.
The Spy Who came in from the cold. Richard Burton plays it well. Great for Cold War/spy thriller lovers.
Duel - early Spielberg - pretty gripping

Re: Vintage Film Suggestion Thread
Watch the original 'Cape Fear'. Robert Mitchum js fantastic in it, just oozes menace.Way superior to the later De Niro version.
